The Morris Family Advised Fund has announced that its application deadline for 2026 is November 1st.
Established to support Central New York’s long-term health, vitality, and opportunity, the Fund prioritizes initiatives that promote community well-being, advance scientific and medical research, and expand access to education — particularly for children and young people. Its guiding philosophy emphasizes that strong communities are built on quality education, accessible healthcare systems, and ongoing scientific discovery. As such, grants made by the Morris Family Advised Fund are awarded to nonprofit organizations whose work demonstrates measurable and lasting regional impact.
Funding is distributed through an annual application cycle, with award amounts varying based on project scope, potential outcomes, and alignment with the Fund’s mission. While the Morris Family Advised Fund actively researches and invites prospective grantees each year, it also encourages organizations with aligned missions to initiate contact.
Interested nonprofits may submit a general inquiry form accompanied by a one-page letter of inquiry (LOI) and verification of tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code. Organizations that are invited to proceed based on a pre-approval decision may then complete a full application, either by submitting materials online or by mailing a downloaded form to the Fund. All applications must be received by November 1.
